sun sun sun

Something about this shot.  It was right outside Carnegie Hall, after the award ceremony, and I was excited to take even more photographs.  I love sunsets, always have, and it was so great to come out to this beautiful end of the day. This picture brings that feeling back, so I might be the only one that actually likes it. hmmm we'll see I guess.

bridge

I barely caught this shot on the taxi ride to the airport.  honestly I have no idea what bridge this is, but I do know that it looks great aesthetically.  I like the first shot, although it might seems a little cliche, I think the foggy green color adds some mystery to the shot. I like the border of the inside of the taxi with the second shot, especially with the symmetry of the bridge through the windshield.

silhouette

as I've said many times, I love trees, buildings, sun, silhouettes. I like this shot because it's a combination of all of those things.  It's partly symmetry, but still some light differences that keep it exciting.
this is just one of the cool streets there were in New York, and with this cool sunset light I love looking at this image.  It shows the business and excitement of the city and I want to go back.

saxophone

this guy was out of the ordinary.  I loved his playing, so this picture takes me back and i like to look at it.  It's not technically perfect, a little blurry, but I think the story it's telling is still portrayed.

um-bur-ell-uh

doesn't this just look lovely? i loved the stands on every corner, whether they're selling hot dogs or sunglasses or pretzels or fruit. so fun. this shot makes me want to go back and buy some apples

more trees

can't get enough of all this green.  I  love trees and here they're everywhere I look. They're fun to shoot, especially when they're cool and silhouettey like this. blissful sigh

beautiful junk

why not make a trash can fun to look at? I like that part of graffiti. it's everywhere you look in New York, but it doesn't ruin anything. it enhances instead. funnn tooo shooot

sunset

Cliche cliche, I know, sunsets. bleh. I don't care I like em. and I like shooting them.  I don't think this is too cliche, you don't normally see a stop light hand within the silhouette of buildings.  I thought that was interesting how you could see both lights. hmm. I like this pitcha

LOUD

Something about getting close and limiting focus that I like. I don't know what I'm trying to say with this picture but I have fun looking at it.

fire escapes

fire escapes. they were everywhereeee you look.  literally on almost every building. and I loooved shooting them. Emily Jensen had a stunning image of a fire escape once upon a time, and ever since I've always been so excited about them. I think the last one is my favorite, but I like them all.

farmer's market

speaking of the farmer's market, shooting there was fun.  I just love being there. I'm excited to work at fruit stands this summer which will hopefully be just like this.

bicycles

I don't know.  I saw this bike leaning against a pole.  I pressed a button I guess. hmm. something about me and bikes? I like it.

These little rides looked fun. One day I'll try it.

I saw this bike in a farmer's market and wanted it right away.  I've been loving bike rides lately. And this rusty cute blue old bike was just darling.  I think the owner of the bike fits it perfectly. I like this shot the best.

playwright

I just like this city.  The colors and buildings I could just shoot all day long.  I don't know why I like this so much but there's just something.  Urban. hmm. I like it.

Ricky

Here is my little cousin Ricky.  I know I know this is so typical of me.  Babies babies babies.  I don't care I love these.  This is where I'm comfortable I guess.  I could shoot this boy all day long.

candles

While I was in the church I was talking about below, I got this cool shot.  Limited focus is my thing I guess.  I'm not really sure what these candles mean or represent, but I like they're composed very nicely. I also like the color.

rockefeller

I was standing in a big church, I shamefully can't recall the name of it.  It was pretty dark in there, with beautiful candles and stained glass windows.  I was so fascinated in all the cool colors and sights in this church, until I turned around and saw the bright light right through these doors.  Haha I just like this shot with the silhouettes of the people inside and the symmetry. New York is cool.

flower shop

I know that this seems super girly and cliche, but I had to take it.  There was this darling little flower shop at the corner of the street our hotel was on.  Every time we went to go home, we would catch the refreshing scent and the blissful sight of an abundance of flowers; particularly roses.  I had fun getting close and focusing with my big lens, filling the shot with these beautiful plants.  I didn't know if it would turn out, but I think I like this way this looks.
